وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَQur’an As-Saffat (37:71)

Walaqad dalla qablahum aktharu alawwaleena

Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them,
