In regard to inheritance Allah commands you concerning yourchildren: that the share of a boy shall be twice that of a girl.In the case where there are more than two girls, their share willbe two thirds of the estate; but if there is only one girl, hershare will be one half of the estate. If the deceased leftchildren behind, each of the parents shall get one sixth of theestate, but if the deceased left no children and the parents arethe only heirs, the mother shall get one third of the estate, butif the deceased left brothers and sisters, then the mother willget one sixth of it. The distribution in all cases shall be afterfulfilling the terms of the last will and the payment of debts.With regards to your parents and your children, you do not knowwho is more beneficial to you, therefore, Allah issued thisordinance. Surely Allah is the Knowledgeable, Wise.

Had they believed in Allah, in the Prophet, and in what wasrevealed to him, they would have never taken unbelievers as theirprotecting friends instead of believers, but most of them arerebellious transgressors.

Get the singles among you married as well as those who are fitfor marriage among your male slaves and female slaves. If theyare poor, Allah will make them free from want out of His grace:for Allah has boundless resources and is All-Knowing.

And let those who do not find means to marry keep themselveschaste until Allah enriches them out of His bounty. As for thoseof your slaves who wish to buy out their liberty, execute thedeed of liberty with them if you find them deserving, and givethem some of the wealth which Allah has given you. Do not forceyour slave-girls into prostitution for your own worldly gains, ifthey wish to preserve their chastity; and if anyone forces theminto it, then surely after such a compulsion Allah will beforgiving and merciful to them.

There are others who built a Masjid for mischievous motives(Masjid-e-Zirar), to spread disbelief and to disunite thebelievers, and an outpost for one (Abu 'Amir) who had made waragainst Allah and His Rasool before. They will indeed swear thattheir intentions are nothing but good; but Allah declares thatthey are absolute liars.

You should never stand to offer Salah in it. Certainly the Masjidfounded on piety from the very first day is more deserving thatyou should stand to offer Salah in it; for in it there are menwho love to be purified; and Allah loves those who purifythemselves.

Who is a better person; he who lays the foundation of hisbuilding on piety to Allah and His good pleasure, or he who laysthe foundation of his building on an undermined bank that willtumble down with him into the fire of Hell? Allah does not guidesuch wrongdoers.

The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicionand shakiness in their hearts until their hearts are cut topieces. Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.

They say: "None shall enter paradise except he who is a Jew or aChristian." These are their vain desires. Say O Muhammad: "Let ushave your proof if you are right in your claim."

Yea! Whoever submits himself entirely to Allah and is good toothers will be rewarded by his Rabb; he will have nothing to fearor to regret.

The Jews and the Christians say: "We are the children of Allahand His beloved ones." Ask them, "Why then does He punish you foryour sins? Nay! To Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and theearth and all that is between them, and to Him is the finalrefuge."

But Hewilled otherwise in order to test you in what He has given you;therefore try to excel one another in good deeds. Ultimately youall shall return to Allah; then He will show you the truth ofthose matters in which you dispute.

You will find the most violent in enmity to the believers are theJews and the mushrikin (pagan Arabs); and nearest in affection tothe believers are those who say: "We are Christians." That isbecause among them there are men that are priests and monks, whodo not behave arrogantly.

When they (monks and priests) listen to that which is revealed tothe Rasool, you can see their eyes filled with tears, becausethey recognize the truth. They say: "Our Rabb! We believe,therefore, write us down among the witnesses of truth.

Why should not we believe in Allah and the truth which has cometo us? Why should we not hope that our Rabb will admit us to thecompany of the righteous?"
Friendship with

O believers! Take neither Jews nor Christians as your protectingfriends: they are only protecting friends of one another. Whoeverof you disobeys this commandment will be counted as one of them.Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.
friendship in secret of the hypocrites with

You see that those who have the disease of hypocrisy in theirhearts move around in their camp saying: "We fear lest a turn offortune strike us." But soon when Allah gives you victory or adecision according to His will, they will regret for what theyare hiding in their hearts.

Why don't their Rabbis and the Jurists of laws forbid them fromuttering sinful words and eating unlawful things? Evil indeed aretheir deeds.

We gave him TheInjeel (Gospel), and put compassion and mercy into the hearts ofhis followers. As for monasticism, they instituted it themselves- for We did not enjoin it on them - in order to seek the goodpleasure of Allah, but they did not observe it as it should havebeen observed. Yet We rewarded those among them who were truebelievers, but most of them are transgressors.
Turning away of from a judgement by the Quran

So, O Muhammad, pronounce judgement among them according to thelaw which Allah has revealed and do not follow their vaindesires, and beware of them lest they tempt you away from a partof that which Allah has revealed to you. If they reject yourjudgement, then know that it is Allah's wish to scourge them forsome of their sins. In fact most of the people are transgressors.

Narrate to them the example of the people of a certain town towhom the Rasools came.

At first We sent to them two Rasools, but when they rejected bothWe strengthened them with a third and they all said: "Surely wehave been sent to you as Rasools."
36 : 15
But the people replied: "You are but humans like us. TheCompassionate (Allah) has revealed nothing; you are surelylying."
36 : 16
They said: "Our Rabb knows that we have indeed been sent asRasools towards you
36 : 17
and our only duty is to convey His message plainly."
36 : 18
The people replied: "We regard you as an evil omen for us.Desist, or we will either stone you or you will receive from us apainful punishment."
36 : 19
They said: "Your evil omens lies within yourselves. Do you saythis because you are being admonished? Indeed you are a nation oftransgressors."
36 : 20
In the meantime a man came running from the remote part of theCity and said: "O my people! Follow these Rasools.

Follow the ones who ask no reward of you and are rightly guided.
36 : 22
It would not be justifiable on my part if I do not worship HimWho has created me and to Whom you shall be brought back.
36 : 23
Should I take other gods besides Him? If the Compassionate(Allah) should intend to harm me, their intercession will availme nothing, nor will they be able to save me.
36 : 24
If I do so, I would indeed be in manifest error.
36 : 25
Surely I believe in your Rabb, so listen to me".

Consequently they killed that man and it was said to him: "Enterparadise." He exclaimed: "Would that my people knew that what Iknow!

How my Rabb has granted me forgiveness and included me among thehonored ones."

After that We did not send any army against his people fromheaven, nor was it necessary to do so.

It was nothing but a single blast and they all became extinct.
