Muawiyah said: “Be cautious wit regard to (the narration of) Ahadith, except a Hadith that was in circulation at the time of Umar, for Umar used to make people fear Allah, [the Mighty and Sublime] . I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: ‘If Allah wants good for a person , he causes him to understand Islam.’ And I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘I am just a trustee. If I give to someone willingly, it will be blessed for him, but if I give someone because he asked for it and greedy, he will be the liked of the one who eats and but is not satisfied.”
