Sahih Muslim Book - 13, Hadith - 2525
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِى خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِى وَقَّاصٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ ضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بِيَدِهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى فَقَالَ « الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا ». ثُمَّ نَقَصَ فِى الثَّالِثَةِ إِصْبَعًا.
It was narrated that Sad bin Abi Waqqas said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) struck one hand against the other and said: ‘The month is like this, and like this,’ then he tucked away one digit the third time.”
