حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِىَّ - عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِىِّ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَدَعَا لأَهْلِهَا وَإِنِّى حَرَّمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ كَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ وَإِنِّى دَعَوْتُ فِى صَاعِهَا وَمُدِّهَا بِمِثْلَىْ مَا دَعَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ ».
It was narrated from Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim that The Messenger Of Allah(SAW): ”(Prophet) Ibrahim declared Makkah sacred and supplicated for its people, and I declare Al- Madina sacred as Ibrahim declared Makkah sacred, and I supplicated concerning its Sa and Mudd (units of measurement) twice(the blessings) Ibrahim supplicated for the people of Makkah.”
