حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ - وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فِى شَوَّالٍ وَبَنَى بِى فِى شَوَّالٍ فَأَىُّ نِسَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- كَانَ أَحْظَى عِنْدَهُ مِنِّى. قَالَ وَكَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ تُدْخِلَ نِسَاءَهَا فِى شَوَّالٍ.
It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) married me in Shawwal and consummated the marriage with me in Shawwal, and which of the wives of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) was dearer to him than me?" And 'Aishah liked for marriages with her women folk to be consummated in Shawwal.
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
