وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِىُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِى عُمَرَ جَمِيعًا عَنِ الثَّقَفِىِّ - قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِى عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِىُّ - عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِى مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ سَالِمًا مَوْلَى أَبِى حُذَيْفَةَ كَانَ مَعَ أَبِى حُذَيْفَةَ وَأَهْلِهِ فِى بَيْتِهِمْ فَأَتَتْ - تَعْنِى ابْنَةَ سُهَيْلٍ - النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ سَالِمًا قَدْ بَلَغَ مَا يَبْلُغُ الرِّجَالُ وَعَقَلَ مَا عَقَلُوا وَإِنَّهُ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنِّى أَظُنُّ أَنَّ فِى نَفْسِ أَبِى حُذَيْفَةَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا. فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « أَرْضِعِيهِ تَحْرُمِى عَلَيْهِ وَيَذْهَبِ الَّذِى فِى نَفْسِ أَبِى حُذَيْفَةَ ». فَرَجَعَتْ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّى قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُهُ فَذَهَبَ الَّذِى فِى نَفْسِ أَبِى حُذَيْفَةَ.
It was narrated from 'Aishah that Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifah, was with Abu Hudhaifah and his family in their house. She meaning the daughter of Suhail ( ans wife of Abu Hudhaifah )- came to the Prophet (s.a.w) and said: "Salim has attained what men attain (puberty) and he understands what they understand. He enters upon us and I think that Abu Hudhaifah feels some (discomfort) in his heart because of that." The Prophet (s.a.w) said to her: "Breastfeed him and he will be unlawful for you, and what Abu Hudhaifah feels in his heart will disappear." She came back to him and said: "I breastfed him, and what Abu Hudhaifah felt in his heart has disappeared."
