حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ أَنْ يَبِيعَ ثَمَرَ حَائِطِهِ إِنْ كَانَتْ نَخْلاً بِتَمْرٍ كَيْلاً وَإِنْ كَانَ كَرْمًا أَنْ يَبِيعَهُ بِزَبِيبٍ كَيْلاً وَإِنْ كَانَ زَرْعًا أَنْ يَبِيعَهُ بِكَيْلِ طَعَامٍ. نَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ. وَفِى رِوَايَةِ قُتَيْبَةَ أَوْ كَانَ زَرْعًا.
It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) forbade Muzabanah, selling the produce of one's garden. If it is palm trees; for dried dates by measure, and if it is grapes; selling them for raisins by measure, and if it is unharvested produce; selling it for a measure of harvested produce. He forbade all of that."
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."

"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."

"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
