Sahih Muslim Book - 27, Hadith - 4277
حَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ الْبَجَلِىُّ - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ طَرِيفٍ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الطَّائِىِّ عَنْ عَدِىٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « إِذَا حَلَفَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى الْيَمِينِ فَرَأَى خَيْرًا مِنْهَا فَلْيُكَفِّرْهَا وَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِى هُوَ خَيْرٌ ».
It was narrated from Tamim At-Ta'i that 'Adiyy said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'If one of you swears an oath, then he sees something that is better than it, let him offer expiation for it then do that which is better than it."'
