وَحَدَّثَنِى عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمِصْرِىُّ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِى سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « إِذَا زَنَتْ أَمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ وَلاَ يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ وَلاَ يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتِ الثَّالِثَةَ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا فَلْيَبِعْهَا وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ مِنْ شَعَرٍ ».
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: 'If the slave woman of one of you commits Zina and it becomes clear, then carry out the Hadd punishment of whipping on her, but do not rebuke her. Then if she commits Zina (a second time) and it becomes clear, then carry out the Hadd punishment of whipping on her, but do not rebuke her. Then if she commits Zina a third time, and it becomes clear, sell her, even for a rope of hair."'
