Sahih Muslim Book - 30, Hadith - 4494
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِى بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِى عَمْرَةَ الأَنْصَارِىِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِىِّ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ الشُّهَدَاءِ الَّذِى يَأْتِى بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا ».
It was narrated from Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "Shall I not tell you of the best of witnesses?" The one who gives his testimony before being asked for it."
