Sahih Muslim Book - 33, Hadith - 4783
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ وَقَالَ فَجَذَبَهُ الأَشْعَثُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « اسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَا حُمِّلُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ مَا حُمِّلْتُمْ ».
Shu'bah said: "Al-Ash'ath bin Qais pulled him aside and the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Listen and obey, for on them be their burden and on you will be your burden."
