It was narrated from Ibn Juraij: "Abu Az-Zubair told me that he heard Jabir being asked: 'How many (persons) were they on the day of Al-Hudaibiyah?' He said: 'We were fourteen hundred, and we swore allegiance to him (s.a.w) while 'Umar was holding his hand beneath the tree, which was an acacia. We swore allegiance to him, except for J add bin Qais Al-Ansari, who hid beneath the belly of his camel."'
