Sahih Muslim Book - 33, Hadith - 4956

وحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ بُرْقَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الأَصَمِّ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، ذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا رَوَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ رَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ حَدِيثًا غَيْرَهُ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ، وَلاَ تَزَالُ عِصَابَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَهُمْ ، إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.

Yazid bin Al-Asamm said: "I heard Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan mention a Hadith that he narrated from the Prophet (s.a.w), and I did not hear him narrate any other lfadith from the Prophet (s.a.w) on his Minbar. He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "If Allah intends good for a person, He causes him to acquire a deep understanding of Islam. A group of Muslims will continue to fight in defense of the truth and to prevail over those who oppose them, until the Day of Resurrection."
