حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ هَاشِمِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَامِرَ بْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ سَعْدًا ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: مَنْ تَصَبَّحَ بِسَبْعِ تَمَرَاتٍ عَجْوَةً ، لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ سُمٌّ ، وَلاَ سِحْرٌ.
'Amir bin Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas said: "I heard Sa'd say: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: "Whoever eats seven 'Ajwah dates in the morning, he will not be harmed by any poison or witchcraft that day."
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."

"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."

"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
