Sahih Muslim Book - 39, Hadith - 5691

وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُخَنَّثٌ فَكَانُوا يَعُدُّونَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ أُولِي الإِرْبَةِ ، قَالَ فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ ، وَهُوَ يَنْعَتُ امْرَأَةً ، قَالَ : إِذَا أَقْبَلَتْ أَقْبَلَتْ بِأَرْبَعٍ ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ أَدْبَرَتْ بِثَمَانٍ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَلاَ أَرَى هَذَا يَعْرِفُ مَا هَاهُنَا لاَ يَدْخُلَنَّ عَلَيْكُنَّ قَالَتْ : فَحَجَبُوهُ.

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “A hermaphrodite used to enter upon the wives of the Prophet (s.a.w), and they regarded him as one of those who are without desire. The Prophet (s.a.w) came in one day when he was with one of his wives, and he was describing a woman. He said: “She shows four folds when facing you and eight when she turns back.” The Prophet (s.a.w) said: “I see that he knows about these things. He should not enter upon you.” She said: “(After this) they observed Hijab before him.”
