وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ، يَقُولُ : أَرْخَصَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ لِبَنِي عَمْرٍو. قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ : وَسَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ : لَدَغَتْ رَجُلاً مِنَّا عَقْرَبٌ ، وَنَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، أَرْقِي ؟ قَالَ: مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ.
Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “The Prophet (s.a.w) granted permission to Banu ‘Amr allowing Ruqyah for snake bites.” Abu Az-Zubair said: “And I heard Jabir bin ‘Abdullah say: ‘A man was stung by a scorpion when we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and a man said: “O Messenger of Allah, shall I recite Ruqyah?” He said: ‘Whoever among you can benefit his brother, let him do so.”’
