Sahih Muslim Book - 45, Hadith - 6584
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا، وقَالَ الآخَرَانِ: أَخْبَرَنَا، عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كَسَعَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ رَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ الْقَوَدَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: دَعُوهَا، فَإِنَّهَا مُنْتِنَةٌ. قَالَ ابْنُ مَنْصُورٍ: فِي رِوَايَتِهِ عَمْرٌو، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا.
It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "A man of the Muhajirin hit a man of the Ansar from behind. He came to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and asked him to settle the score and the Prophet (s.a.w) said: 'Keep away from it, it is disgusting."'
