Sahih Muslim Book - 45, Hadith - 6647

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ الأَعْمَشَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ ، قَالَ: اسْتَبَّ رَجُلاَنِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَعَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا يَغْضَبُ وَيَحْمَرُّ وَجْهُهُ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ ذَا عَنْهُ: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ فَقَامَ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: أَتَدْرِي مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آنِفًا ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ ذَا عَنْهُ: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ : أَمَجْنُونٌ تَرَانِي ؟.

Sulaiman bin Surad said: "Two men traded insults in the presence of the Prophet (s.a.w) ' and one of them started to get angry and his face turned red. The Prophet (s.a.w) looked at him and said: 'I know a word which, if he said it, it would take that away from him: A'udhu Billahi min ash-shaitanir-rajim (I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaitan ).' A man went and told him what the Prophet (s.a.w) said. He said: 'Do you know what the Prophet (s.a.w) said just now? He said: "I know a word which, if he said it, it would take that away from him: A'udhu Billahi min ash-shaitanir-rajim.'" The man said to him: 'Do you think I am possessed?"'
