حَدَّثَنِى عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ حَدَّثَنِى سُمَىٌّ عَنْ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ سُوءِ الْقَضَاءِ وَمِنْ دَرَكِ الشَّقَاءِ وَمِنْ شَمَاتَةِ الأَعْدَاءِ وَمِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلاَءِ. قَالَ عَمْرٌو فِى حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ أَشُكُّ أَنِّى زِدْتُ وَاحِدَةً مِنْهَا.
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (s.a.w) used to seek refuge with Allah from a bad end, from misery, from the malicious joy of enemies and from severe calamity. 'Amr said in his Hadith: "Sufyan said: 'I think that I added one of them."'
