حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: فُرِضَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ الصَّلَوَاتُ خَمْسِينَ، ثُمَّ نُقِصَتْ حَتَّى جُعِلَتْ خَمْسًا، ثُمَّ نُودِيَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّهُ لَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَإِنَّ لَكَ بِهَذِهِ الْخَمْسِ خَمْسِينَ . قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، وَطَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ، وَأَبِي قَتَادَةَ، وَمَالِكِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: حَدِيثُ أَنَسٍ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.
Anas bin Malik narrated: On the Night of Isra, fifty prayers were made obligatory upon the Prophet. Then it was decreased until it was made five. Then it was called out: 'O Muhammad! Indeed My Word does not change; these five prayers will be recorded for you as fifty.'
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."

"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."
