حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَبِيرِ بْنِ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الْأَزْدُ أُسْدُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ، يُرِيدُ النَّاسُ أَنْ يَضَعُوهُمْ، وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَرْفَعَهُمْ، وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ: يَا لَيْتَ أَبِي كَانَ أَزْدِيًّا، يَا لَيْتَ أُمِّي كَانَتْ أَزْدِيَّةً . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، وَرُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ مَوْقُوفٌ وَهُوَ عِنْدَنَا أَصَحُّ.
Narrated Anas: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Al-Azd is Allah's lion upon the earth, the people wish to lower them but Allah refuses except to raise them. A time will come upon the people where a man will say: I wish my father was Azadi, I wish my mother was Azadi.
