Tirmidhi Book 49, Hadith 3940
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الْأَنْصَارُ، وَمُزَيْنَةُ، وَجُهَيْنَةُ، وَغِفَارٌ، وَأَشْجَعُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ مَوَالِيَّ، لَيْسَ لَهُمْ مَوْلًى دُونَ اللَّهِ، وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مَوْلَاهُمْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
Narrated Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The Ansar, Muzainah, and Juhainah, Ashja', Ghifar, and whoever is from Banu 'Abdid-Dar are Mawali. They do not have a Mawla other than Allah, and Allah and His Messenger are their Mawla.
