and preserve them from [doing] evil deeds: for anyone whom on that Day [of Judgment] Thou wilt have preserved from [the taint of] evil deeds, him wilt Thou have graced with Thy mercy: and that, that will be the triumph supreme!"
  - Mohammad Asad
Deliver them from all evil. He whom You will deliver from the punishment of their sins on that Day will surely earn Your Mercy and that will surely be the highest achievement.
  - Muhammad Farooq-i-Azam Malik
And protect them from 'the consequences of their' evil deeds. For whoever You protect from the evil of their deeds on that Day will have been shown Your mercy. That is 'truly' the ultimate triumph.'
  - Mustafa Khattab
And ward off from them ill deeds; and he from whom Thou wardest off ill deeds that day, him verily hast Thou taken into mercy. That is the supreme triumph.
  - Marmaduke Pickthall
"And preserve them from (all) ills; and any whom thou dost preserve from ills that Day on them wilt Thou have bestowed Mercy indeed: and that will be truly (for them) the highest Achievement. 4368 4369
  - Abdullah Yusuf Ali

That is the final Judgment, and any who is saved from the evil consequences of their deeds in this life will truly have been saved by Allah's Mercy, and for them it is the highest achievement they could have, the attainment of all their wishes, the fulfilment of their destiny and the noblest purpose of their Life, the supreme Salvation and Felicity.

Muslim Salvation, then, is more positive than mere safety from dangers or evils: it is the complete fulfilment of the noble destiny of man in the attainment of the fullest Grace.
