Surah 6. Al-An'am, Ayah 4
وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
Wam a tateehim min a yatin min a y a ti rabbihim ill a k a noo AAanh a muAAri d een a Yet whenever any of their Sustainer's message comes unto them, they [who are bent on denying the truth] turn their backs upon it:3

Yet the reaction of the people has been that whenever a revelation came to them from their Rabb, they neglected it.
