قُلْ إِنِّى عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِۦ ۚ مَا عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۖ يَقُصُّ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَـٰصِلِينَ Qur’an Al-An'am (6:57)Qul innee AAal a bayyinatin min rabbee waka thth abtum bihi m a AAindee m a tastaAAjiloona bihi ini al h ukmu ill a lill a hi yaqu ss u al h aqqa wahuwa khayru alf as ileen a
Lit., "not with me is that which you would hasten": a reference to the sarcastic demand of the unbelievers, mentioned in 8:32 , that God should chastise them forthwith in proof of the Prophet's claim to be His message-bearer.
What ye would see hastened: what ye, deniers of God, are so impatient about: the punishment which ye mockingly say does not come to you. Cf. xiii. 6.
