Surah 67. Al-Mulk, Ayah 18

وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ Qur’an Al-Mulk (67:18)

Walaqad ka thth aba alla th eena min qablihim fakayfa k a na nakeer i

And, indeed, [many of] those who lived aforetime¹⁷ did give the lie [to My warnings]: and how awesome was My rejection [of them]!

Those who have gone before them likewise disbelieved, then see how terrible was the way I rejected them?
