O Prophet, tell them: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your relatives, the wealth that you have acquired, the business in which you fear a loss, and the homes which youlike are dearer to you than Allah, His Rasool, and making Jihad(struggle) in His Way, then wait until Allah brings about Hisdecision. Allah does not guide the transgressors.

Divorced women must keep themselves waiting for three menstrualperiods, it is not lawful for them to hide what Allah has createdin their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. In suchcases their husbands have a right to take them back in thatperiod if they desire reconciliation. Women have rights similarto those exercised against them in an equitable manner, althoughmen have a status (degree of responsibility) above them. Allah isMighty, Wise.
If you have any doubt concerning those of your wives who haveceased menstruating, then you should know that their waitingperiod will be three months, and the same will apply to those whohave no menstruation due to young age or a disease. As for thosewho are pregnant, their waiting period will end with delivery.Allah will ease the hardship of those who fear Him.
This is the command of Allah which He has sent down to you. Hethat fears Allah, will have his sins removed and his rewardenlarged.
Let those women, during their waiting period ('Iddat), live whereyou yourselves live according to your means. You shall not harassthem so as to make life intolerable for them. If they arepregnant, maintain them until their delivery: and if, after that, they suckle your offspring, compensate them and settle the matterof compensation with mutual consultation and in all fairness. Butif you cannot bear with each other then let another woman sucklethe baby for you.
Let the rich man give according to his means, and the poor mangive according to what Allah has given him. Allah does not chargea man with more than He has given him; soon Allah may bring easeafter hardship.

When the forbidden months (10,11,12 & 1 of the Islamic calendar) are over, then fight the mushrikïn wherever you find them, seize them, besiege them, and lie in ambush for them in every stratagem of war, but if they repent, establish Salah and pay Zakah, then let them go their way: surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Muster against them all the military strength and cavalry thatyou can afford so that you may strike terror into the hearts ofthe enemy of Allah and of your, and others besides them who areunknown to you but known to Allah. Remember that whatever youwill spend in the cause of Allah, shall be paid back to you infull and you shall not be treated unjustly.
The believers were asking: "Why is not a Surah revealed allowingus to fight?" But when a decisive Surah carrying the order ofallowing them to fight is revealed, you saw those in whose heartswas a disease looking at you like the one under the shadow ofdeath. Woe to them!
On their tongues is the promise of obedience and good talk, so ifthey would have proved their promise with Allah when the finalcommand was given, it would have been better for them.
Now what can be expected of you if you are put in authority, other than to do evil in the land and violate the ties of blood.
Such are those whom Allah has cursed and made them deaf andblinded their sight.
Will they not ponder upon the Qur'an? Are there locks upon theirhearts?
Every nation was sent a Rasool. Once their Rasool came, judgementwas passed between them with all fairness and they were notwronged in the least.
O believers! Do not put yourselves ahead of Allah and His Rasool.Fear Allah; surely Allah hears all and knows all.
Those who lower their voices and speak softly in the presence ofAllah's Rasool are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested forpiety; they shall have forgiveness and a great reward.
Surely the Muslim men and the Muslim women, the believing men andthe believing women, the devout men and the devout women, thetruthful men and the truthful women, the patient men and thepatient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitablemen and the charitable women, the fasting men and the fastingwomen, the men who guard their chastity and the women who guardtheir chastity, and the men who remember Allah much and the womenwho remember Allah much - for all those, Allah has preparedforgiveness and a great reward.
and guard their private parts,
except from their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for in their case they are not blameworthy.
As for those who seek to go beyond this, they are transgressors.
As for those who seek to go beyond this, they are transgressors.
Those angels who bear the Throne of Allah and those who standaround it glorify their Rabb with His praises, believe in Him andimplore forgiveness for the believers, saying: "Our Rabb! Youembrace all things with your mercy and knowledge. Forgive thosewho repent and follow Your Way, and save them from the punishmentof the blazing fire.
O Rabb, admit them to the gardens of Eden which You have promisedthem together with all the righteous among their fathers, theirwives and their descendants. You are the All-Mighty, All-Wise.
Deliver them from all evil. He whom You will deliver from thepunishment of their sins on that Day will surely earn Your Mercyand that will surely be the highest achievement.
They themselves have turned away from the truth and also forbidother people to believe in it. With such a behavior they harmnone but their own souls but they do not perceive it.
Those who disbelieve and obstruct Allah's Way, He will rendertheir deeds fruitless.
The sentence will be: "Throw into hell every stubborndisbeliever,
every opponent of good, and every doubting transgressor
who set up other gods besides Allah. Throw him into severepunishment."
His companion will say: "Our Rabb! I did not mislead him. Hehimself had gone far astray."
Allah will say: "Do not dispute with each other in My presence. Igave you warning beforehand.
My words cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants."
Let not shaitan mislead you, for he is your open enemy.
They ask you about war in the Sacred Month. Tell them: "fightingin this month is a heinous offence; but to prevent from the pathof Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access and expel Hisworshippers from the Sacred Mosque is a more severe crime, sincemischief is worse than killing in His sight. As for unbelievers:they will not cease fighting until they succeed in turning youback from your religion if they can; and if any of you turns backfrom his religion and dies as an unbeliever, his deeds willbecome void in this life and in the hereafter. He will be theinmate of hellfire, to live in there forever.
Those who reject faith and hinder others from the Way of Allah, have indeed strayed far away from the Path.
The residents of paradise will call out to the inmates of thehellfire: "We have indeed found out the promises of our Rabb tobe true. Have you, too, found the promise of your Rabb to betrue?" "Yes," they will answer, and a herald will proclaim amongthem, "the curse of Allah be upon those wrongdoers
Surely the unbelievers spend their wealth in blocking the way ofAllah and so will they continue to spend; but in the end thesevery efforts will become the cause of their regrets; at lengththey will be defeated, and in the hereafter these unbelieverswill be gathered together and driven to hell,
in order that Allah may separate the filthy from the pure. Hewill heap the filthy one upon another, altogether, and then castthem into hell. They are the ones who will be the losers.
Do not be like those who started from their homes recklessly andin order to be seen by everybody and debar others from the Way ofAllah. Allah encompasses all their actions.
Who can be more wrong than the one who forges a lie againstAllah? Such people will be brought before their Rabb, and thewitnesses will say: "These are the ones who lied against theirRabb." Beware! The Curse of Allah is on those wrongdoers
who hinder others from the path of Allah and seek to make itcrooked, and who deny the hereafter.
These people cannot frustrate His plan in the land and there isnone to protect them besides Allah. Their punishment shall bedoubled, for they could neither hear others who speak the Truthnor see the Truth for themselves.
They are the ones who have lost their own souls, and the fanciesthey invented have left them in the lurch.
No doubt they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter.
They are the ones who love the life of this world more than thehereafter, who debar others from the Way of Allah and seek tomake it crooked: they have gone far astray into error.
As for those who disbelieve and debar others from the Way ofAllah, We shall punish them all the more for their misdeeds.
O believers! Do not take oaths to deceive each other, lest yourfoot slip after being firmly fixed upon guidance; and taste theevil consequences for debarring others from the Way of Allah andincur a mighty punishment.
As for those who are unbelievers and debar others from the Way ofAllah and from the Masjid-al-Haram, to which We have assigned allmankind with equal rights whether they are natives or foreigners, and whoever intend to deviate from righteousness to wrongdoing inits vicinity, We will make him taste a painful punishment.
Those who disbelieve and obstruct Allah's Way, He will rendertheir deeds fruitless.

"Glory to You," they replied, "we have no knowledge except whatYou have taught us: in fact You are the One who is perfect inknowledge and wisdom."
They ask you about war in the Sacred Month. But now there is no reason why Allah should not punish them whenthey are blocking others from the Masjid-al-Haram (Ka'bah),whereas they are not its lawful guardians. In fact, its onlyguardians are those who fear Allah, even though most of them donot understand.

Those who barter away faith for unbelief will in no way harmAllah. They shall have a painful punishment.
On that Day when the disbelievers will be brought before thefire, they will be told: "You squandered away your good things inyour earthly life and you enjoyed them for a while. Today youshall be recompensed with a punishment of humiliation because youbehaved with arrogance for which you had no right during yourlife on earth and because of the transgressions you committed."
And by the Qur'an which is full of admonition! Surely theunbelievers are in sheer arrogance and perverseness.
But if We let him taste any favor after adversity has afflictedhim, then he says: "All my sorrows are gone from me," and hebecomes jubilantly arrogant.
twisting things around in order to lead others astray from thePath of Allah - for such persons there is disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Judgment we shall make them taste thepunishment of burning fire,
saying: "This is what you prepared and sent forth with your ownhands." Rest assured that Allah is not unjust to His worshippers.
O Prophet! Give them this parable. Once there were two men. To one of them We had given two gardens of grapevines surrounded with palm-trees and put between them land for cultivation.
Both of those gardens yielded abundant produce and did not fail to yield its best. We had even caused a river to flow between the two gardens.
He had abundant produce, he said to his companion while conversing with him: "I am richer than you and my clan is mightier than yours."
When, having thus wronged his soul, he entered his garden and said: "I do not think that this garden will ever perish!
Nor do I believe that the Hour of Judgment will ever come. Even if I am returned to my Rabb, I will surely find even a better place than this."
His companion replied while still conversing with him: "Do you disbelieve in Him Who created you from dust, from a drop of semen, and fashioned you into a perfect man?
As for myself, Allah is the One Who is my Rabb and I do not associate anyone with Him.
When you entered your garden why did you not say: `It is as Allah pleased, no one has power except Allah!' Though you see me poorer than yourself in wealth and children,
yet my Rabb may give me a garden better than yours, and may send down thunderbolts from sky upon your garden, turning it into a barren wasteland.
Or its' water may dry out and you may never be able to find it."
It so happened that all his fruit produce was destroyed and the vines tumbled down upon their trellises, so he wrung his hands with grief for all that he had spent on it. He cried: "I wish I had not associated anyone with my Rabb!"
He was so helpless that he could neither find anyone to help him beside Allah, nor could he himself avert that catastrophe
it was then that he realized that the real protection comes only from Allah. His is the best reward and His is the best requital.
The Messiah (Jesus) never disdained to be the worshipper of Allahnor do the angels who are nearest to Allah. Whosoever disdainsHis worship and is arrogant will be brought before Him alltogether.
And your Rabb says: "Call on Me, I will answer your prayers.Surely those who are too arrogant to worship Me shall soon enterhell in humiliation."
They (Jews and Christians) have taken their rabbis and priests tobe their Lords beside Allah and so they did with Messiah (Jesus)the son of Maryam (Mary), although they were commanded in theTorah and the Gospel to worship none but One Ilah (Allah);besides Whom there is none worthy of worship. Exalted be He abovethose whom they associate with Him.
They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouthsbut Allah will not allow it to happen, for He seeks to perfectHis light even though the disbelievers may dislike it.
O believers! Indeed most of the (Jewish) rabbis and (Christian)priests misappropriate the wealth of people and hinder them fromthe way of Allah. To those who hoard gold and silver and do notspend it in the way of Allah, proclaim a painful punishment.

who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love ofAllah,
saying: "We feed you for the sake of Allah Alone; we seek fromyou neither reward nor thanks,
for we dread from our Rabb's torment of a very distressful Day."
So Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and bestowon them freshness and joy,
and reward them, for their steadfastness with paradise andgarments of silk.
There they shall be reclining upon high couches; they shall feelneither the scorching heat nor the biting cold.
The trees of paradise will spread their shade around them, andtheir fruits will hang in clusters within their easy reach.
They shall be served with silver dishes, goblets of crystal,
and goblets made of crystal-clear silver, filled by theirattendants in due measure.
And they will also be given to drink a cup of wine mixed withZanjabil (ginger-flavored water),
from a fountain, called Salsabil.
They shall be attended by boys graced with eternal youth: whenyou see them, they would seem like sprinkled pearls.
And which ever direction you will look, you will see blessingsand the splendor of a great Kingdom.
They (the residents of paradise) shall be arrayed in the garmentsof fine green silk and rich brocade, and adorned with braceletsof silver, and their Rabb will give them pure wine to drink.
O believers, that's how you will be rewarded, and your endeavorsappreciated.

It is not fit for a Prophet that he should take prisoners of waruntil he has thoroughly subdued the land. Do you, O followers ofMuhammad, desire the temporal goods of this world? While Allahdesires for you the hereafter? Allah is Mighty, Wise.
Therefore, when you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield smitetheir necks and, when you have thoroughly subdued them, then takeprisoners of war and bind them firmly. After the war lay down herburdens, then you have the choice whether you show them favor oraccept ransom. Thus are you commanded. If Allah wanted, HeHimself could have punished them; but He adopted this way so thatHe may test some of you by means of others. As for those who areslain in the cause of Allah, He will never let their deeds belost.

Had there not been a previous sanction from Allah to take ransom, you should have been sternly punished for what you have taken.
Very well, enjoy the booty which you have taken, for it is lawfuland pure, but in the future fear Allah. Allah is Forgiving,Merciful.
O Prophet! Tell the captives in your custody: "If Allah findsgoodness in your hearts He will give you even better than whathas been taken from you, as well as forgive you. Allah IsForgiving, Merciful."
But if they have treacherous designs against you, O Prophet, theyhave already shown treason against Allah. That is why He madethem your captives. Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.

And when your children reach the age of puberty, let them stillask your permission as their elders do. Thus Allah makes Hisrevelations clear to you, for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
O believers! Let your servants and those children who have notyet attained puberty ask your permission before coming in to seeyou on three occasions: before Fajr Salah (dawn prayer), at noonwhen you put off your clothes, and after the Isha Salah (nightprayer). These are your three times of privacy. At other times, there is no blame on you if you, or they, go around visiting oneanother. Thus Allah makes His revelations clear to you, for Allahis All-Knowing, All-Wise.

On the Day of Judgement you shall see the true believing men andthe believing women, with their light shining before them and ontheir right hands, and it will be said to them: "Rejoice today, you shall enter the gardens beneath which rivers flow, in whichyou shall live forever, and that is the highest achievement."
On that Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to thetrue believers: "Wait for us, that we may borrow some of yourlight." But they will be told: "Go away! Seek your lightelsewhere." So a wall with a gate shall be set up between them.Inside there shall be mercy, and outside all along there shall bepunishment of hell.
and rehearse the bounty of your Rabb.
It is He Who has sent His Rasool with the guidance and thereligion of truth so that he may proclaim it over all religions, much as the Mushrikin may dislike it.
O Rasool! Deliver the message which has been revealed to you fromyour Rabb, and if you do not, you are not doing justice to yourmission. Allah will protect you from the mischief of the people.Rest assured that Allah will not let the unbelievers succeedagainst you.
O Muhammad! Whether We let you see, within your lifetime, a partof what We threaten them with or cause you to die before We smitethem, your mission is only to deliver the Message and it is forUs to take accountability.
and make a proclamation of Hajj (Pilgrimage) to mankind: theywill come to you on foot and on lean camels from every distantquarter,
so that they may witness the benefits which are made availablehere for them, and pronounce the name of Allah over the cattlewhich We have provided as food for them, on the appointed days, then eat meat themselves and feed the indigent and needy.
Then they should accomplish their needful acts of shaving orcutting their hair and taking a bath, fulfill their vows and gofor Tawaf-e-Ziyarah to the Ancient House.
This was the object for which the Ka'bah was built, and whoeverhonors the sacred rites of Allah, it is good for him in the sightof his Rabb. The meat of cattle is lawful to you, except what hasalready been mentioned to you; therefore, shun the abomination ofidols and shun all false statements.
Dedicate yourselves to Allah and do not commit shirk with Him:for anyone who commits shirk, it is as though he had fallen fromthe sky; then his body is either snatched away by birds orcarried away by the wind to some far-off place,
so it is, and he who respects the Symbols of Allah, surely showsthe piety of his heart.
You may benefit (by using their milk) from the cattle dedicatedfor sacrifice, until the time of their slaughter, then theirplace of sacrifice is near the Ancient House.
For every nation We prescribed a way of sacrifice so that theymay pronounce the name of Allah over the cattle which He hasgiven them for food, but the object is one and the same: toremember that your God is one God; so submit yourselves to Him asa Muslim, and O Prophet, give good news to the humble,
Therefore, proclaim publicly what you are commanded and turn awayfrom the mushrikin.
It is He who has created all kinds of plants, trellised anduntrellised, the palm trees, the field crops with produce ofdifferent kinds, the olives and pomegranates, similar in kind yetdifferent in taste. Eat of their fruit in their season and giveaway their Zakah on the harvest day. Do not be spendthrift, surely He does not love the spendthrifts.
O Children of Adam! Put on your adornment (decent proper dress)when you attend your Masjid at the time of every prayer. Eat anddrink, but do not be extravagant; surely He does not love theextravagant.
Whenever affliction touches a man, he prays to Us, whether lyingdown on his side, sitting, or standing on his feet. But as soonas We relieve his affliction he walks away as if he had neverprayed to Us for removing that affliction which touched him! Thusthe foul deeds which they do are made fair-seeming to thetransgressors.
In the earth there are tracts side by side: gardens of grapes, cornfields and palm trees with single and double trunks - theyare all watered with the same water, yet We make some of themexcel others in taste. Surely in this, there are signs for peoplewho use their common sense.
The dead land may serve as a sign for them; We give it life andproduce from it grain for them, which they eat.
We also produce from it gardens with date-palms and vines, and Wecause springs to gush forth from it.
So that they may enjoy the fruits thereof. It was not their handsthat made all this; should they not then give thanks?
Do you not see how Allah sends down water from the sky whichpenetrates the earth and come out through springs? With it Hebrings forth a variety of crops with different colors, then theywither and you see them turning yellow, and then finally Hecrumbles them to dust. Surely, in this example, there is a lessonfor the people of understanding.
and foremost shall be the foremost.
He laid out the earth for His creatures,
They will be nearest to Allah,
With all its fruits and palms having sheathed clusters,
in the gardens of bliss.
And grain with husk and scented herbs.
Most of them will be from the former
So, O jinns and men, which of your Rabb’s favors will both of you deny?
O believers, spend in Allah's Way the best portion of the wealthyou have lawfully earned and that which We have produced for youfrom the earth, and do not pick out for charity those worthlessthings that you yourselves would not accept but with closed eyes.Bear in mind that Allah is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.
