Sahih Muslim Book - 1, Hadith - 211

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِيَحْيَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سُهَيْلٍ نَافِعُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلَاثٌ إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ وَإِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ خَانَ.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "The signs of the hypocrite are three: When he speaks he lies, when he makes a promise he breaks it, and when he is entrusted with something he betrays that trust."
