وَحَدَّثَنِى أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَهَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَيْلِىُّ - وَاللَّفْظُ لِهَارُونَ وَحَرْمَلَةَ - قَالَ هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِى يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ هُرْمُزَ الأَعْرَجُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَنْ شَهِدَ الْجَنَازَةَ حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ ». قِيلَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ قَالَ « مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَيْنِ الْعَظِيمَيْنِ ». انْتَهَى حَدِيثُ أَبِى الطَّاهِرِ وَزَادَ الآخَرَانِ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُصَلِّى عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ يَنْصَرِفُ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَهُ حَدِيثُ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَقَدْ ضَيَّعْنَا قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَةً.
Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Whoever attends a funeral until the prayer is offered will have one Qirat (of reward), and whoever attends until (the body) is buried will have two Qirat."' It was said: "What are the two Qirats?" He said: "Like two huge mountains." The end of the Hadith of Abu At-Tahir. The other two added: Ibn Shihab said: "Salim bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said: 'Ibn 'Umar used to offer the funeral prayer and then leave.' When he heard the Hadith of Abu Hurairah he said: 'We have missed out on many Qirat."'
