Sahih Muslim Book - 12, Hadith - 2341

وَحَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الرِّفَاعِىُّ - وَاللَّفْظُ لِوَاصِلٍ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « تَقِىءُ الأَرْضُ أَفْلاَذَ كَبِدِهَا أَمْثَالَ الأُسْطُوَانِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ فَيَجِىءُ الْقَاتِلُ فَيَقُولُ فِى هَذَا قَتَلْتُ . وَيَجِىءُ الْقَاطِعُ فَيَقُولُ فِى هَذَا قَطَعْتُ رَحِمِى. وَيَجِىءُ السَّارِقُ فَيَقُولُ فِى هَذَا قُطِعَتْ يَدِى ثُمَّ يَدَعُونَهُ فَلاَ يَأْخُذُونَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah (SAW) has said: “The earth will vomit out pieces of its liver, like columns of gold and silver .The murderer will come and will say: “It was for this that I killed” . The one who severed the ties of kinship will come and say: “It was for this that I severed the ties of kinship”. The thief will come and say: “It was for this that my hand was cut off”. Then they will leave it and not take anything from it.”
