حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَسْمًا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنَّهَا لَقِسْمَةٌ مَا أُرِيدَ بِهَا وَجْهُ اللَّهِ - قَالَ - فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَسَارَرْتُهُ فَغَضِبَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا وَاحْمَرَّ وَجْهُهُ حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنِّى لَمْ أَذْكُرْهُ لَهُ - قَالَ - ثُمَّ قَالَ « قَدْ أُوذِىَ مُوسَى بِأَكْثَرَ مِنْ هَذَا فَصَبَرَ ».
It was narrated from Abdullah said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (SAW) distributed (some spoils of the war), and man said: ‘This division was not for the Face of Allah.’ I went to the Prophet (SAW) and whispered to him, and he got very angry at that, and his face turned red, until I wished that I had not told him, then he said: ‘Musa was troubled with more than this and he remained patient.’
