Sahih Muslim Book - 15, Hadith - 2806
وَحَدَّثَنِى حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِى يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ - رضى الله عنه - عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذُو الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مَهْيَعَةُ وَهِىَ الْجُحْفَةُ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنٌ ». قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ - رضى الله عنهما - وَزَعَمُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- - وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ - قَالَ « وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمُ ».
It was narrated from Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar bin Al-Khattab [May Allah be pleased with them] that his father said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘The Miqat for the people of Al-Madinah is Dhul-Hulaifah, the Miqat for the people of Ash-Sham is Mahyaah- which is Al-Juhfah – and the Miqat for the people of Najd is Qarn.’” Abdullah bin Umar [May Allah be pleased with them] said: “And they said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said- although I did not hear that from him: ‘And the Miqat for the people of Yemen is Yalamlam.’”
