وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِى حَدَّثَنَا سَيْفٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِى لَيْلَى حَدَّثَنِى كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ وَرَأْسُهُ يَتَهَافَتُ قَمْلاً فَقَالَ « أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ ». قُلْتُ نَعَمْ. قَالَ « فَاحْلِقْ رَأْسَكَ ». قَالَ فَفِىَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ (فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِنْ صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ) فَقَالَ لِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « صُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ تَصَدَّقْ بِفَرَقٍ بَيْنَ سِتَّةِ مَسَاكِينَ أَوِ انْسُكْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ ».
Kab bin Ujrah [may Allah be pleased with them] narrated that Messenger of Allah (SAW) stood near him while he lice were falling from his head, and he said: “Are these vermin bothering you?” he said: “Yes.” He said: “Shave your head.” He said: “This verse was revealed concerning me” ‘….. And whosoever of you is ill or has an ailment in his scalp (necessitating shaving), he must pay a Fidyah (ransom) of either observing Sawm (fasts) (three days) or giving Sadaqah or offering sacrifice (a sheep)…. ’ “ The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to me: ‘Fast for three days or give a Faraq (three Sa) to be shared between six poor persons, or offer whatever you can afford as a sacrifice.’””
