It was narrated that Abu Musa [may Allah be pleased with them] said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) had sent me to Yemen, and I came back during the year when he went for Hajj. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to me: ‘O Abu Musa, what did you say when you entered Ihram?’ I said: ‘Here I am at Your Service, for the same purpose as the Prophet (SAW) entered Ihram.’ He said: ‘Have you brought a sacrificial animal?’ I said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Then go and circumambulate the House and go between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, then exit Ihram.’”” Then he quoted a hadith like that of Shubah and Sufyan (no. 2957, 2959).
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."
Sunan Ibn Mājah
"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
Sahih Bukhari
