Sahih Muslim Book - 16, Hadith - 3498
وَحَدَّثَنِى أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ زَيْدٍ - عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ زَيْدٍ - عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَشُعَيْبِ بْنِ حَبْحَابٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْغُبَرِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِى عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنِى زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِى أَبِى عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ جَمِيعًا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنَّهُ أَعْتَقَ صَفِيَّةَ وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا صَدَاقَهَا. وَفِى حَدِيثِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ تَزَوَّجَ صَفِيَّةَ وَأَصْدَقَهَا عِتْقَهَا.
It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet (s.a.w) manumitted Safiyyah and made her manumission her dowry. In the Hadith of Mu'adh from his father it says: "He married Safiyyah and her manumission was her dowry.''
