Sahih Muslim Book - 21, Hadith - 3915
وَحَدَّثَنِى إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحُ بْنُ أَبِى مَعْرُوفٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنْ كِرَاءِ الأَرْضِ وَعَنْ بَيْعِهَا السِّنِينَ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَطِيبَ.
It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) forbade leasing out land, selling it years ahead and selling produce until it is good (i.e. ready to eat)."
