It was narrated from Hanash that he said: "We were with Fadalah bin 'Ubaid on a campaign, and there fell to my lot and that of my companions a necklace that contained gold, pearls and jewels. I wanted to buy it, so I asked Fadalah bin 'Ubaid and he said: 'Extract its gold and put it in one pan, and put your gold in the other pan, and do not take it unless (you give) like for like, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not take (anything) except like for like."
