حَدَّثَنِى أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِى أَبِى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِى رَبَاحٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى أَنَّ أَجِيرًا لِيَعْلَى ابْنِ مُنْيَةَ عَضَّ رَجُلٌ ذِرَاعَهُ فَجَذَبَهَا فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَأَبْطَلَهَا وَقَالَ « أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَهَا كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ ».
It was narrated from Safwan bin Ya'la that a servant of Ya'la bin Munyah bit another man on the arm, and he pulled it away and his incisor fell out. The matter was referred to the Prophet (s.a.w) who dismissed the claim and said: "Did you want to bite him as a male camel bites?"
