It was narrated from Anas that the sister of Ar-Rubai' Umm Harithah, injured a person. They referred the dispute to the Prophet (s.a.w) and the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Qisas, Qisas." Umm Ar-Rabi' said: "O Messenger of Allah, will Qisas be taken from So-and-so? By Allah, no Qisas will be taken from her!" The Prophet (s.a.w) said: "Subhan-Allah, O Umm Ar-Rabi'! Qisas is a command in the Book of Allah." She said: "No, by Allah, no Qisas will ever be taken from her." She kept saying it until they accepted the Diyah. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Among the slaves of Allah are those who, if they swear by Allah that something will happen or not happen, then their oaths will be fulfilled."
