It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) stood up among us and said: 'By the One besides Whom none has the right to be worshiped! It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim man who testifies that none has the right to be worshiped but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, except in three cases: One who leaves Islam abandoning the Jama'ah (the congregation of Muslims), a married (or previously married) adulterer, and a life for a life."' Al-A'mash said: I narrated it to Ibrahim, and he narrated a similar report from Al-Aswad, from 'Aishah.
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."
Sunan Ibn Mājah
"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
Sahih Bukhari
