حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِىُّ - وَاللَّفْظُ لِقُتَيْبَةَ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ لِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ « أَحَقٌّ مَا بَلَغَنِى عَنْكَ ». قَالَ وَمَا بَلَغَكَ عَنِّى قَالَ « بَلَغَنِى أَنَّكَ وَقَعْتَ بِجَارِيَةِ آلِ فُلاَنٍ ». قَالَ نَعَمْ. قَالَ فَشَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ. ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهِ فَرُجِمَ.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet (s.a.w) said to Ma'iz bin Malik: "Is it true what I have heard about you?" He said: "What have you heard about me?" He said: "I heard that you committed Zina with the slave woman of the family of so-and-so." He said: "Yes." He (the narrator) said: "He testified to that four times, then he (s.a.w) ordered that he be stoned."
