وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِى الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « لَوْلاَ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ما قَعَدْتُ خِلاَفَ سَرِيَّةٍ ». بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ. وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ « وَالَّذِى نَفْسِى بِيَدِهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّى أُقْتَلُ فِى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أُحْيَى ». بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِى زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ.
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: 'Were it not that it would be too difficult for the believers, I would not have stayed behind from any expedition"' - a similar Hadith (as no. 4863). With this chain of narration (it is narrated): "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I wish that I could be killed in the cause of Allah, then brought back to life," a Hadith like that of Abu Zur'ah from Abu Hurairah.
