وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، وَ إِسْحَاقَ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لأَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَأَبِي كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا ، وقَالَ الآخَرَانِ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُنْقَعُ لَهُ الزَّبِيبُ فَيَشْرَبُهُ الْيَوْمَ وَالْغَدَ وَبَعْدَ الْغَدِ إِلَى مَسَاءِ الثَّالِثَةِ ، ثُمَّ يَأْمُرُ بِهِ فَيُسْقَى ، أَوْ يُهَرَاقُ.
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "Raisins would be soaked for the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and he would drink it for one day, then the next, then the next, until the evening of the third day. Then he would order that it be given to others to drink or be poured away."
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."

"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
