حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا وَلَدَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَتْ لِي : يَا أَنَسُ انْظُرْ هَذَا الْغُلاَمَ ، فَلاَ يُصِيبَنَّ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَغْدُوَ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَنِّكُهُ ، قَالَ : فَغَدَوْتُ فَإِذَا هُوَ فِي الْحَائِطِ ، وَعَلَيْهِ خَمِيصَةٌ جَوْنِيَّةٌ وَهُوَ يَسِمُ الظَّهْرَ الَّذِي قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْفَتْحِ.
It was narrated that Anas said: "When Umm Sulaim gave birth, she said to me: 'O Anas, look at this boy; he should not be given anything until you take him to the Prophet (s.a.w) in the morning so that he may perform Tahnik for him.' So I took him in the morning and found (the Prophet (s.a.w)) in a garden, wearing a Jawni cloak and branding the camels that had been brought to him from the spoils of war."
