Sahih Muslim Book - 4, Hadith - 1155
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَعِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِى أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يُصَلِّى فِى ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُلْتَحِفًا مُخَالِفًا بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ. زَادَ عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ فِى رِوَايَتِهِ قَالَ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ.
It was narrated that 'Umar bin Abi Salamah said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) offering prayer in a single garment, wrapping it around himself, with its ends crossed." "Eisa bin Hammad added in his report: "over his shoulders."
