وَحَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: أَرَانِي فِي الْمَنَامِ أَتَسَوَّكُ بِسِوَاكٍ ، فَجَذَبَنِي رَجُلاَنِ ، أَحَدُهُمَا أَ كْبَرُ مِنَ الآخَرِ ، فَنَاوَلْتُ السِّوَاكَ الأَصْغَرَ مِنْهُمَا ، فَقِيلَ لِي: كَبِّرْ ، فَدَفَعْتُهُ إِلَى الأَكْبَرِ.
‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: “I saw myself in a dream using a Siwak, and two men competed to take it from me, one of whom was older than the other. The younger one got it from me, and it was said to me: ‘Give it to the older one.’ So I gave it to the older one.”
