حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا ، فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ جِئْتُ فَلَمْ أَجِدْكَ ؟ قَالَ أَبِي : كَأَنَّهَا تَعْنِي الْمَوْتَ ، قَالَ : فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِينِي فَأْتِي أَبَا بَكْرٍ.
It was narrated from Muhammad bin Jubair bin Mut'im, from his father, that a woman asked the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) something, and he told her to come back to him. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, what if I come and do not find you?" – my father said: "It was as if she was referring to death" - he said: "If you do not find me, then go to Abu Bakr."
