Sahih Muslim Book - 44, Hadith - 6472

وحَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ السَّمَّانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ فَلاَ أَدْرِي فِي الثَّالِثَةِ ، أَوْ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَتَخَلَّفُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ ، تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ ، وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "The best of people are my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them." I do not know if he said after the third or fourth time: "Then they will be followed by people whose testimony will come before their oath, and their oath before their testimony."
