'Abdullah bin 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) led us in 'Isha' prayer one night at the end of his life, then when he had said the Salam, he stood up and said: 'Have you seen this night of yours? One hundred years from now, there will be no one left who is on the face of the earth.'" Ibn 'Umar said: "The people did not understand these words of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) about one hundred years, and they interpreted the Hadith incorrectly; all that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said was 'One hundred years from now, there will be no one left who is on the face of the earth' meaning that generation would come to an end."
